The Argentinian attacking midfielder is a player with significant potential. He’s been one of my favorite signings in the past two editions of Football Manager – especially if playing with a 4-2-3-1 system.
However, due to his dribbling, agility, flair, long shots and off the ball movement, Facundo Farias can be a great inside forward who cuts inside from the left flank. As an Advanced Playmaker in a 4-2-3-1 system, he will be able to play between the lines and take advantage of his creativity and vision to link up play and create chances for his teammates.
His ball control, anticipation, decision-making and finishing can let you see him maintain possession of the ball in congested areas before striking the ball at the back of the net. His game intelligence and low centre of gravity attracts the interest of some of the biggest Premier League teams, such as Arsenal.

When Arnau Puigmal entered the doors of Old Trafford at the age of 16 after beating Barcelona for his signature, there were huge hopes for the Spanish wonderkid to become the next superstar. Without getting his breakthrough, the next step in his career was to get back to Spain to revive his career.
At Almeria, Arnau Puigmal has made 6 goals in 59 appearances and has established himself as a La Liga regular. Able to play as either a central midfielder, right winger or as an attacking midfielder, the 22 year old former Espanyol youngster could be a great bargain on Football Manager 2024.
Arnau Puigmal is a typical press resistant player. With great ball control, vision and flair he can use his game intelligence to unlock the opposition defence with his great passing range. Whether you would like to use him as a playmaker is up to you, but I would take advantage of his quickness, stamina and off the ball movement to use him as an central midfielder (attack) who can make late runs into the box and cause havoc with his third man runs.
Besides of his great technique and off the ball movements, Arnau Puigmal can be a great threat from first and foremost free-kicks but also secondly from corners. With great finishing and long shots he can be the one to choose at direct free kicks, or let him use his passing and crossing at short corners to retain possession.
His abilities will probably be a great fit for any top division sides, except for the big five. At the age of 22, you’ll have a player who can perform for you for the next 10 years. He even got great adaptability, meaning he can settle in at any sides outside England and Spain.

The next must-buy bargain on Football Manager 2024 is an Italian goalkeeper who can become a reliable first team option for the next 10 years. Marco Carnesecchi starts out as a backup option for Atalanta but has everything needed to become a superb signing regardless of who you manage.
Standing out for his ability to command the area (16), Aerial reach (14) and handling (15) he’s reliable at set-pieces as he can jump to claim crosses into the box. His abilities to react to first time shots, unexpected events due to his good levels of reflexes (15), and basically protect the goal from goalscoring opportunities by making saves (handling and positioning). For anyone playing with a high line, his abilities in one on one situation and rushing out is also at the top level.
The only con is his abilities when playing out from the back. His composure, passing and first touch is perhaps something you need to consider if you’re establishing a possession football philosophy at the club. If so, you should probably look elsewhere.
However, due to his Professional personality, market price and abilities in keeping a clean sheet, Marco Carnesecchi is one of the best Football Manager 2024 bargains – without a doubt!

Hwang In-Beom / 26 / Crvena Zvezda
Hwang In-Beom is a new arrival to the Serbian league before this season. The South Korean midfielder was bought for only €4.5Million from Olympiakos in 2022. Hwang In-Beom has been part of the South Korean national team since 2018 and have made 45 appearances for his country.
The 26 year old midfielder can be a great signing for Championship sides and clubs in Germany, Spain or France. His abilities to follow tactical instructions, ability to work his socks off to help the team pass their way through to the goal is admireable. Besides top notch team work and work rate, he’s tactical intelligent and hardly makes mistakes – whether it’s by picking out the right pass or understand when or where to run.
I simply love him for his decision-making, ball control and off the ball movemen. Hwang In-Beom can play a number of roles with ease. I would probably consider him as a roaming playmaker but he can also be a great Mezzala or Central Midfielder.
His hidden attributes reveals he got great consistency, realishes big matches and can be re-trained into a defensive or attacking midfielder if required.

Marco John / 21 / 1899 Hoffenheim
Finding great wingbacks on Football Manager 2024 is probably not the easiest but there are some great options. Besides Valentin Barco who can be bought for only €9.8Million, we have a versatile German left back who can become a decent squad player.
Last season, the 21 year old fullback was loaned out to Greuther Fürth and made 4 assists in 25 appearances. This season, his development has suffered a huge hinder as he has been out with ankle injury and cruciate ligament tear. Whether that will be replicated in FM24 is yet to see.
However, Marco John is a highly versatile player. He’s natural as an attacking wingback but can also be used in the central midfield as a box to box midfielder, or as a defensive midfielder in the segundo volante role, if you’re considering playing him in a 4-2-3-1 system.
Due to his overall abilities with almost none atributes beneath 12, he could be a useful option in the inverted wingback role where he can move into attacking positions to create chances either from through balls or crosses.
As a natural fullback he got great flair, work rate and stamina which immediately draws comparison to Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto. Notice his 15 in Long Throws. Here you’ll have the chance to take advantage of a long throw routine!
At the age of 21, he should also be able to develop his attributes over the next 2 years… if he manage to stay injury free.

Svit Seslar / 21 / Eyüpspor
Svit Seslar is an Slovenian attacking midfielder who has come through the academy of NK Olimpija. Labelled as a star player for Turkish side Eyüpspor paints a picture of a decent player for Championship sides and below.
Honestly, I can’t help myself but I’m a sucker for FM24 players with great vision, ball control and flair. Svit Seslar ticks all boxes to become a great advanced playmaker or an attacking midfielder if you like to install a Ange Postecoglou 4-2-3-1 tactic in one of the smaller clubs.
Sinc ehe has just signed a contract with Eyüpspor, it might be difficult to obtain his services in the first season, but it might be useful to keep a track of his performances over the course of 2023-24 season and see if you can obtain his services for a relatively cheap price.
Besides being fairly well skilled in possession of the ball, Svit Seslar is also a fairly consistent performer and could develop for another two years.

Becir Omeragic / 21 / Montpellier
Another former player on our previous Football Manager Wonderkids lists who is now available for a bargain fee on FM24 is Becir Omeragic. The Swiss centre-back was signed by Montpellier ahead of 2023-24 season. The 187cm tall defender is still a player who we haven’t seen the best of yet despite getting 7 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
Becir Omeragic can be a useful wide centre-back or ball playing defender. Besides anticipation, positioning, marking and tackling above 13, his passing, vision and dribbling makes him a trustworthy player when building out from the back. He lacks a bit of quickness and heading to become the best defender in the game, but could be a reliable option for minor clubs that are chasing the top half position.
I like him for his tactical intelligence, leadership and strength – besides his height and jumping reach. I would probably try to improve his heading as one of the first objectives if I should sign him up.

Cucho Hernández / 24 / Columbus Crew
Cucho Hernández is probably most famous for his spell at Watford when the Colombian forward was signed at the age of 18 from America de Cali. Between 2017 and 2022, he was loaned out to a number of different La Liga clubs. After signing for the American MLS club Columbus Crew in July 2022, Cucho has impressed with a number of great performances.
This season he has made 9 assists and scored 19 goals over 31 appearances something that has seen his market value sky rocket.
In FM24, Cucho Hernández is available between €5-15Mill – a rather cheap price considering his abilities. Able to be used as an Complete Forward to take advantage of his quickness, strength and overall great abilities on the ball, or as an Inside Forward who cuts inside from the left flank.
What strikes me is his unpredictability and creativity as a forward. He even got great game intelligence in the final third – something that will result in lots of goals scored!
He’s one of the more expensive ‘bargains’ on this list and with interest from RB Leipzig and Bournemouth at the start of my save, you will probably need to spend closer to the maximum asking price to obtain his services.

Under Kjetil Knutsen, Bodø/Glimt has established themselves as one of the best clubs in Norway. They have managed to attract great players as well as developing their talents into national team players. One of these local players is Patrick Berg.
After a rathr unsuccessful spell in French football, Patrick Berg is back as the brilliant playmaker he is. This season he has made 5 assists and scored 7 goals over 39 appearances. In Football Manager, Patrick Berg stands out for his excellent Teamwork (17), Work Rate (16) and Positioning (17) – making him the ideal holding midfielder your 4-3-3 formation needs. His reliable both when builiding out from the back and retaining possession, as well as making those key passes that can unlock the opposition’s block as he got great passing, technique, first touch and vision.
His abilities to be a single holding defensive midfielder makes him a top notch signing for any sides in the top 10 leagues as he got great awareness, concentration, tackling and marking. On top of that he’s one who can withstand high match loads due to his great natural fitness.
If you act fast, you’ll probably be able to sign the player under €5Million on FM24 but you’ll get competition from Newcastle, Wolves and A.C. Milan…

Last year, our bargain list contained a number of players from Mexican football. This year we decided to focus on Maximiliano Meza – an versatile attacking midfielder with great off the ball movement, teamwork and determination.
The Argentinian attacking midfielder is a rather direct player who can cause havoc both with his off the ball movements and taking on opponents by dribbling through the lines. With his quickness and agility he can control the ball despite being put under pressure and come to goalscoring opportunities or make those final through passes that enables the striker to put the ball at the back of the net.
Despite being 31, his creativity and unpredictability can be a necessary skills for teams hunting for promotion to the top division. I would think he could be a suitable signing for Italian Serie B teams, Spanish or Portuguese teams in the bottom half of the top division, or a great signing for the Argentinian league.
Maximiliano Meza is also on an outgoing contract – meaning you can get the player for a minimal fee if you’re patience and wait until January 2024.

Bård Finne / 28 / Brann
For anyone following Norwegian football, we know what Bård Finne is capable of. For years he has been a torn in the sides to the defenders of Eliteserien. Despite having two unsuccessful spells outside Norway (FC Köln 2014-2016, Heidenheim 2016-2027, and SönderjyskE 2021), he has scored a total of 70 goals in the Eliteserien for Brann and Vålerenga over 194. That’s 0.3 goals per game.
In September 2023, he finally received his international debut, and scored his first goal for the Norwegian National team against Jordan.
Bård Finne’s best skills is his finishing and being able to pop up and put the ball in the back of the net. His composure and off the ball movement makes him into a cheap Erling Haaland.
You will probably use him in the Advanced Forward role, or in the Pressing Forward role to take advantage of his work rate, quickness and aggression. Besides being one of the best finishers in the Norwegian top division, Bård Finne is also a reliable free-kick specialist – at least when it comes to free-kicks from a shooting range.

Marlos Moreno / 26 / Konyaspor
If you’re managing a League One side or a second division club in Europe, you might need to scout for bargains in order to improve your squad. Marlos Moreno is a winger with great experience from European football. The Colombian winger was signed by Man City at the age of 20 from Atl. Nacional and was a player with huge potential. Unfortunately, he really never got the chance to break through in English football and spent his City career loaned out to several clubs across the globe.
After being sold to Troyes in 2022, he has spent the last seasons in Turkish football where he has scored 1 goal in 15 appearances.
In FM24, Marlos Moreno stands out for his quickness, dribbling and technique. His abilities in one-on-one situations will be welcomed in the lower leagues where he can run past slower defenders with ease. His game intelligence in final third and in possession of the ball will help the team to get into goalscoring opportunities. He’s got the passing, crossing and movements to cause havoc. A finishing of 11 can make him be a decent backup option as an Advanced Forward – especially if you lack a pacy forward who can try to get behind the defensive line with off the ball movements by making quick counter-attacks.

Alvaro Fidalgo / 26 / Club America

Able to play either as a second holding midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 system, as a Mezzala in a 4-3-3 formation, as an Advanced playmaker in the AMC slot or as an Inverted winger who can create chances from the flank, Alvaro Fidalgo got everything needed to assist the forwards.
Standing out for his unpredictability, vision, passing technique and wonderful ball control, the Spanish midfielder is a highly press-resistant hidden gem available for around €500K at the start of season one! Fairly consistent, highly determined with a resolute personality, his abilities on the ball and especially in one-on-one situations can provide the creativity needed to reach the final third and come to chances. Like Iniesta, Kevin de Bruyne or Pedri, his quickness with the ball at his feet, quick-thinking and brilliant technique can help the team with making those wonderful progressive passes that can lead to assists or key passes.

Hi Paddy, Thanks for your question. The idea was to release one but I have struggled to work the last weeks due to an injury, and had to prioritize differently. I will see if I will get some time this Christmas to do finally release it.
