Däulet Orynbasar / 16 / Qairat Almaty

Position(s): ST
Best Player Role(s): Channel Forward

If you’re blown away by Dastan Satpaev in Football Manager 26, another hidden wonderkid gem at Qairat Almaty is Däulet Orynbasar.

Altough the talented striker might not stand out for his height and be the best in aerial situations due to him being only 161cm tall, the Kazakhstan wonderkid has some of the same qualities.

Born in March 2009, the Channel Forward is a player synonymous to goalscoring abilities. According to Rising Star, he scored 28 goals in 17 appearances, as well as making 14 assists in the QJ League 2024/25 season – making the all-time record in the Kazakhstan’s top youth league.

In FM26, Däulet Orynbasar has significant potential to play at the highest level. With Determination of 18, incredible acceleration, agility, and balance, he will be a torn in the side to any opposition’s team.

Ability to finish off chances from both inside or outside the penalty box, his technique and ball carrying abilities makes him into an attack on his own. Include his high Flair, Off the Ball movements and Work Rate, and you got a Centre-Forward that can bag in goal after goal at any level!

In fact, at the age of 16, Däulet Orynbasar looks like one of these overpowered players! Too incredible – too cheap!

Zinadine Zidane Bedoya / 16 / Atlético Nacional

Position(s): AMC
Best Player Role(s): Attacking Midfielder, Channel Midfielder

South America and especially Colombia is probably one of my favorite places to scout for future wonderkids… and with the wonderful name Zinadine Zidane Bedoya, we got a new Colombian wonderkid you need to know of!

The young attacking midfielder playing for Atletico Nacional came to our attention when researching potential wonderkids for the NextGen Wonderkids database earlier this year.

A player compared to Max Dowman or Cole Palmer for his Flair, technical abilities and dribbling skills in 1v1 situations. Highly confident with the ball, great footwork and unpredictable, Zinadine Zidane Bedoya fits his name if we should draw comparison to the French 1998 Ballon D’Or winner who could be regarded amongst the best attacking midfielders ever!

Although he has lots of progression to do to close into Zizou’s elegance, Zidane Bedoya combines ball control and vision with great finishing abilities already at the age of 16.

Often used on the right flank to cut inside, he has a tendency to use one-twos to get past his marker, unless he makes a mind-blowing trick that opens up the entire defensive block. And if he got the space and time, he has the ability to finish with an accurate long shot, either powerful or at the right strength to neatly lob the goalkeeper.

In FM26, you might notice his tactical intelligence, strength and natural fitness might not be the highest. Not even his off the ball movement. However, feed the ball to his feet and he’ll shine.

Zinadine Zidane Bedoya is an attacking midfielder you can pick up for the bargain price of €2million and develop into the next Kang-In Lee. Consider him as the cheap Dro Fernandez and pick him up before he becomes known by the entire universe!

Manex Lozano / 18 / Racing Santander (Athletic Club)

Position(s:): ST
Best Player Role(s): Poacher, Centre Forward

FM26 Cheap Striker Wonderkid bargains: Centre Forward Manex Lozano

If you’re searching for a future Centre Forward – a young talent who can lead the line, Manex Lozano is close to tick all the necessary abilities. Although his Determination, Strength and Work Rate is on the lower side in this save, he could easily turn out alot better in your save!

In FM26, his reputation might not make him the most obvious target at first but when I used player search filter to identify young Centre Forwards with good Finishing, Technique, Off the ball movement, Acceleration and Pace, he turned up.

Reviewing his Football Manager 26 player profile, Manex Lozano is a striker who is good in aerial situations and has both the physical strength, Natural Fitness and the Work Rate and Quickness to become a great player in the FM26 match engine.

Currently playing for Racing Santander, out on loan from Athletic Club, the striker has made 4 appearances in LaLiga 2 – scoring two goals so far. He’s also participated in the UEFA Youth League where he has scored 6 goals in 6 appearances – painting a picture of his goalscoring instinct.

Manex Lozano is a talented forward which Athletic Club has huge belief in, despite being sent out on loan to gain experience at an higher level. Before Christmas 2025, Manex Lozano was even called up to represent the Spanish Under-18 national team, receiving two appearances – making one assist in the game against Japan.

Miguel Agamez / 16 / Junior

Position(s): DM, CM
Best Player Role(s): Deep-Lying Playmaker, Box-to-Box Midfielder

Another Colombian midfielder, another player who we got attention of in our research for players to be included in the FM24 NextGen Wonderkids Database – here’s Miguel Agamez!

Miguel Agamez is a central midfielder playing for Junior de Barranquilla. Born in May 2009, he is one of the youngest wonderkids on FM26. The playmaker was a key player for Colombia at the 2025 South American U17 Championship – using his tactical understanding and ability to make the appropriate decision according to the arising situation and amazing close control to dictate play.

A player with the ability to unlock the opponent’s defence with one pass, he stands out for his vision and passing – something that makes his style of play be compared to Paul Pogba or Enzo Fernandez in the way he carries the ball, creates space for himself by luring his presser before making a through ball behind the opponent’s defensive line.

Miguel Agamez is that type of player who can be used either as Deep-Lying Playmaker, a Midfield Playmaker – roaming around the pitch, or as a box-to-box midfielder – giving him the licence to carry the ball forward to catch the attention and thereby create space elsewhere.

His passing range, both in longer more direct passes and short passes makes him a wonderful player to watch. If you’re in need of a midfield maestro, Miguel Agamez might be the one you’re searching for.

Now you know about Miguel Agamez. Thank me later!;)

Jiri Panos / 17 / Viktoria Plzen

Position(s): CM (AM)
Best Player Role(s): Attacking Midfielder, Midfield Playmaker

If you’re chasing promotions from the lower leagues, focusing your attention to Eastern Europe to spot the next big thing might be a wonderful tip to succeed in FM26. One of the players you should keep track of is Czech midfielder Jiri Panos.

The 17 year-old midfielder is a player with a growing reputation. This season he has made 6 appearances in the Europa League. Labelled as a generational talent plying through the grades of Viktoria Plzen, he attracted the attention of Manchester United’s scouts at the end of 2024.

The Czech wonderkid made his first team debut in September 2024 and has ranked up a total of 31 appearances – making one assist and scoring a goal throughout the start of his career

He is a highly interesting hot prospect that might be labelled as the next Patrik Berger. Combining the ability to create chances with sublime ball control and ability to find the net as play enters the final third, Jiri Panos could be that Central Midfielder in your 4-3-3 system or used as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 tactic.

Available on loan first season, or agree a signing for less than €500K. Signing Jiri Panos in FM26 could be that hidden gem a promotion hunting side in the second division of Italy, France, Belgium or a League One team needs to build a competitive squad. You might as well be able to make a huge profit in the future with such a low price at the beginning of 2025/26 season on Football Manager 26.

Carlos Alvarado / 16 / Alianza

Position(s): ST
Best Player Role(s): Channel Forward

FM26 Hidden Wonderkids gems Carlos Alvarado

The Peruvian striker went viral after The SecretScout showed a clip where he scored a beautiful bicycle kick for Peru against Costa Rica. Labelled as the next Claudio Pizzaro, the 16-year-old striker is one of those cheap young gems available for less than €1Million on Football Manager 26 (26.2 update).

A player known for his goalscoring abilities, composure inside the penalty area and unpredictability, Carlos Alvarado is attracting the interest from European clubs. The Peruvian Under-17 international has received three appearances, making three assists and scoring one goal.

Even though he’s tied to Alianza until the end of 2028, the young striker is a player I believe we’ll hear lots more about over the coming years. In FM26, he’s one of the cheap hidden wonderkid gems that has all the right skills to play up front.

Abdramane Konaté / 19 / Espérance Tunis

Position(s): CM (DM, AM)
Best Player Role(s): Channel Midfielder

If you’re searching for hidden wonderkids in Football Manager 26, you can’t simply focus your attention to South America. Over the past years, many clubs known for their youth development, such as FC Nordsjælland, Monaco and AS Trencin has looked to Africa to find hidden gems and young players they can develop and sell for profit. Ivory Coast has produced several international players over the years.

If you’re searching for a cheap central midfielder but lacks the financial resources to pay €30M you should take a look at Abdramane Konaté – a 19-year-old-Channel Midfielder playing for Espérance Tunis. The Ivoranian can be labelled as the cheap version of Christ Inao Oulaï and combines Natural Fitness, Work Rate, Determination and Stamina with explosiveness, technical abilities and great ball control.

Although he lacks the abilities to finish off chances and convert them into goals, he’s a all-round midfielder who has the athleticism and tactical intelligence to play at an higher level. The player would probably be a great signing for Italian Serie B clubs, Spanish clubs who chases promotion to La Liga, or French clubs fighting in the relegation zone of Ligue 1.

You can see screenshot of Abdramane Konaté’s player profile in Football Manager 26 here to judge whether the player is a suitable signing for your club.

Ederson Castillo / 16 / LDU Quito

Position(s): DM (CM)
Best Player Role(s): Deep-Lying Playmaker

Ederson Castillo player profile Football Manager 26 Hidden wonderkids

When the subject is Ecuadorian wonderkids, you might immediately think of Justin Lerma, Kendry Paez or Edwin Quintero. However, the country is a great pool of finding cheap hidden wonderkid gems. One of these teenagers wanted by major European clubs is Ederson Castillo.

The 16-year-old defensive midfielder playing for LDU Quito made his professional debut in the LigaPro Serie A in December 2024. Since then, he’s attracted the interest from Bayern Münich, Manchester United and Barcelona, where he was on trial earlier this year.

The teenage midfielder reminds me a bit of Patrick Vieira – a player who can dominate in the middle of the park and control the tempo, win possession and use his quickness and explosiveness to arrive late in the penalty area. Due to his explosiveness and great tackling abilities, he thrives in high pressing tactics.

In the build-up phase he’s great at using his close control, vision and passing technique to combine comfortably with his teammates – moving the ball away from pressure and find passes that enables the team to enter the final third.

Although still young and needs to improve awareness in FM26, he’s a player who have everything required of a modern midfielder: Determination, Acceleration, Pace, Decisions and Technique.

In FM26, Ederson Castillo is a player who can play at the highest level if he’s trusted with match experience and training fascilities that boost progress. A suitable for signing for both English, German, Spanish and French top clubs – Ederson Castillo is a name you should take note of!

If you happen to sign him on FM26, you can say you found the player before he made his international breakthrough!

Cristian Florez / 17 / At. Nacional

Position(s): AMR
Best Player Role(s): Winger

Cristian Florez FM26 Colombian Wonderkids - the next Jeremy Doku

There’s no secret that Colombia is a goldmine when scouting for wonderkids in Football Manager. From the youth academy that brought us Davinson Sanchez, Yerson Mosquera and Juan Cabal, a new golden generation is rising through the Atlético Nacional Academy.

Apart from Zinadine Zidane Bedoya, a new promising winger named Cristian Florez is emerging. Currently on loan at Real Cundinamarca, the now 18-year-old winger has made 18 appearances for the Colombian Under-17 national team making some standout performances at the U-17 South American Championship – making 2 goals and 3 assists, helping his side to go all the way to the final.

Featuring in the U17 World Cup 2025, he was used primary as a right winger. Known for his dribbling abilities, Flair, quickness and Agility, he could be compared to Jeremy Doku – a player with great ball control, crossing and passing abilities as well as shining in one-on-one situations.

The Colombian wonderkid is highly unpredictable and very press-resistant. Give him the ball and he can either use his passing abilities to create chances, or carry the ball into more dangerous positions, using his explosiveness and agility to slalom between the opposing markers. At such a young age, he’s one of few emerging hot prospects that may take Europe with storm! I would imagine he would be a player Spanish or Italian clubs would lay flat for!

Nicolás Azambuja / 17 / Danubio

Position(s): ST, AMC, MC
Best Player Role(s): Channel Forward

After José María Giménez and Edinson Cavani, the next jewel of the Danubio Academy is Nicolás Azambuja. A versatile attacker who is natural as both centre forward, attacking midfielder or central midfielder, the Uruguayan wonderkid born in March 2008, debuted for Danubio in 2024.

Since then he has received 14 appearances for the first team – playing both on the left wing and up front. He scored his first professional goal in the top flight 16th March 2026 – a trademark finish where he moved between the channels, received the ball, quickly changed direction when the defender should try to intercept his move and places the ball comfortably around the goalkeeper.

In FM26, Nicolas Azambuja stands out for his Natural Fitness, Flair, Acceleration and Finishing. Along with high Work Rate, Stamina and Determination, he’s a player who got the physic to develop into an international star. Highly rated in his home country, the versatile attacker might be one of the surprises in our review of hidden wonderkids on FM26 but is one of those players we have much belief in might become the next Edinson Cavani.

Available for less than €1.5Million, he’s one of those cheap gems with little risk. Go signing him now!

Yunus Azrak / 16 / Hatayspor

Position(s): AMR
Best Player Role(s): Inside Winger

FM26 Hidden Turkish wonderkid Yunus Azrak player profile in Football Manager 26

If Mesut Özil was one of your favorite players in your childhood, you would love the skills of Turkish wonderkid Yunus Azrak!

In real-life, Yunus Azrak arrived to Hatayspor on a free transfer from Fenerbahce towards the end of the January Transfer window.

The creative winger has represented the Turkish Under-16 team after turning 15 and has since progressed to the Under-18s team – making three appearances. Often used on the right wing where he can cut inside onto his strongest foot, the left, Yunus Azrak is a player who shares some of the same skills as Lionel Messi, or Lamine Yamal. Low centre of gravity, high Flair, Agility and technical abilities, both in terms of shooting and dribbling.

A highly unpredictable Inside Winger who got the abilities to both create chances for his teammates by penetrating passes, or use his ball control to carry the ball into more dangerous positions, from where he can shoot, the Turkish wonderkid features everything you want from your wide men.

In FM26, the Turkish wonderkid may lack the tactical intelligence to shine at the start of a new game, but just look at his Acceleration (16!), Agility (14), Balance (14), Flair (15), Determination (16) and Technique (16) – painting a picture of a player who thrives with the ball seemingly glued to his feet and can create spaces for others with his ball carrying abilities.

Although he may be a bit more pricier than the other players reviewed above, his versatility, incredible ball control skills and explosiveness with the ball makes him into an entertainer that may be fun to watch within the FM26 match engine. With the potential to reach international standards, he could be a great signing for any French, Spanish or Italian top division clubs.

Ryunosuke Sato / 18 / Okayama (FC Tokyo)

FM26 Japanese wonderkid gems Ryonusuke Sato

If you’re building a team of wonderkids on Football Manager 26, a great versatile player to improve the squad depth as well as the future quality of your squad is trying to sign Japanese wonderkid Ryunosuke Sato. The 18-year-old winger might be a familiar name for anyone following Asian football. He has already represented the Japanese national team on five occasions. When he made his debut, he became the youngest player to represent Japan in World Cup qualification – a feat formerly held by Shinji Kagawa.

As one of the best players on the list, this versatile attacker has world-class potential to play at the highest level, at least in Football Manager. Although natural as left winger in FM26, the Japenese wonderkid has made appearances both as attacking midfielder, right wing-back and central midfielder – meaning he’s able to play all over the midfield.

Standing out for his Teamwork, Work Rate, Stamina and Determination, Ryunosuke Sato is first and foremost the ideal squad-player – running his socks off for his teammates and is not afraid to press, get forward or track back.

In addition, the player has also the skills to create chances and can be re-trained as a modern playmaker who moves into channels and uses sublime technique, vision, dribbling abilities and agility in small acres of space to get the ball into goalscoring opportunities, either by carrying the ball to get past his marker in 1v1 situations, or arrive late in the area to make key passes and finish off cut backs.

Along with a number of other Japanese under-21 talents with great potential in Football Manager 26, Ryunosuke Sato is one you shouldn’t overlook! For under €6Million, he’s one of those cheap young gems that can help your team to hunt for titles!
