The Rebirth of 3D Stadiums Megapack for FM26

After months of work, the total rebirth of the biggest stadiums mega pack for Football Manager 26 has arrived! Version 3 of the stadiums megapack for FM26 will see significant improvements to 275 stadiums across 23 different nations throughout the entire world. Over 1600 hours has been spent on improving lightning, textures, crowds and fixing all those issues I’ve received from Community feedback after the release of v2.4.
As you can imagine, the brand new and updated version of the Football Manager 26 3D Stadium megapack gives you a huge overhaul to FM26 – changing the entire landscape of the game’s match atmosphere.
I am super happy to announce that this update fixes most lighting issues and adds tons of new features, like camera control and post processing but the entire patch notes and what you’ll see fixed or updated for the latest version of the FM26 3D Stadiums megapack will be presented to you below:
Crowds Enhancements
This is where the most visible work has gone in.
Crowds react to what’s actually happening in the match
In the v3 update, crowds react to what’s actually happening in the match through 26 different match moments. You’ll experience unique crowd animations for goals, dramatic saves, VAR checks, red cards, full time, boring 0-0 stretches, the lot. At the same time there are 17 different animations sprinkled across the stands per reaction, so the whole stadium doesn’t do the same dance. These reactions ripples across the stands naturally instead of all firing at once making how the crowds appear more lividly and realistically.
At the same time, a major overhaul has gone into the crowd attendance, which is now more accurate to in game attendances. There will be no more full stadiums when only 4k spectators or 25k spectators should be there (according to maximum seats).
The frame stutter that used to come with mood changes is gone for v3. Old version hitched visibly every time the crowd switched reactions. Now it’s seamless.
Choreographies: The home end now holds up colored cards forming an image at scripted match moments.
Crowd colors pull from each team’s actual kit colors.
Performance: in heavy stadiums at cranked-up settings, average FPS went from 108 to 165, and big stutters over 50ms went from 452 per match to basically zero.
Stadiums
2.4 went out with 213 stadiums total. Since then the focus has been a mix of new additions and major reworks on the existing roster.
EVERY stadium shipped before this version got the bench/lighting/camera overhaul somewhere along the way. If you played a stadium pre-2.4 and revisit it now, it’s not the same stadium.
The stadium plugin had a structural rebuild and every stadium got passed over by hand.
Post-processing included. This gives night matches a colder look, and day games a warmer look.
Bench placement: Every stadium got home and away bench empties added so substitutes show up in the right spot. Manual per-stadium work, took a while.
Camera placement: The stadiums with camera issues in broadcast mode are all tackled and now have no roof in the way anymore. If they do, please let me know.
Stadium segmentation: same stadium can serve different teams in different competitions via ID mapping.
Pitch shader rewrite (Partial): Rewritten the pitch shader and rolling out gradually.
All stadiums now have their lighting overhauled.
Using the Tilde key ( ~ Key, next to 1 and above Tab) now copies the stadiumID for you to map.
Lightning
- Lighting toggle got a performance pass. Was making 28+ expensive object searches per call, now caches. Dynamic GI updates only fire when something changes. Noticeably smoother.
- Skybox stutter fixed. No longer forces dynamic GI updates every time the skybox is reapplied.
- Memory leak from skybox materials being duplicated and never cleaned up between matches. Long sessions stable now.
- Bloom tweaker is added. Use Numpad 1 to tweak the bloom of your matches. Only affects custom-lighting stadiums, vanilla stadiums keep FM’s own bloom system.
- Vanilla stadiums no longer get the wrong skybox/exposure after you’ve played a custom one.
Bloom threshold vs per-light lens flare conflict resolved. Floodlight flares no longer wash out.
Cameras
- Custom Camera: (NOT Free Camera) got added.
- Player nametags now line up correctly with custom cameras. They were drifting before.
- FM’s dynamic zoom still works on top of your custom positions. The camera still zooms based on where the ball is, just from your placement.
Toggle keybind: F1. F2 toggles LookAt re-aim – off is smoother when FM blends between sideline cameras, on is smoother for static presets. Try both. - Free Camera:
FreeCam Bloom Tweaker: Numpad 1 during a match opens the in-game adjustment panel. Arrow keys tune intensity, threshold, scatter, iterations, player brightness clamp. Saves automatically. - FreeCam ball tracking. Three modes cycled with F4:
– Mouse: original free-look. WASD flies, mouse looks around.
– LookAt: WASD flies, camera auto-aims at the ball with smooth easing. Cinematic.
– Chase: camera follows the ball at the offset you had when you switched in. WASD steers the offset live. Broadcast camera you can move.
FreeCam now takes priority correctly when toggled on after CameraInject is already active.
Weather
New plugin: WeatherOverhaul. Custom rain and snow particles that work alongside FM’s weather system. Looks the part now.
Weather particles no longer randomly stop mid-match. The stadium’s internal weather system was killing the custom effects. Sorted.
Realistic Match Balls
This megapack also includes over 40 official match balls recreated in Football Manager 26. When downloading the latest FM26 3D Stadiums megapack you’ll be able to experience the authentic Premier League 25/26 match ball in FM26, or the match ball used in the Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga or German Bundesliga for 2025/26 season.
Besides replicating the match balls for the top leagues across Europe, it includes the ball used in UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and the Super Cup alongside FIFA Club World Cup and CONMEBOL Libertadores.
There are many more match balls added to the pack.
COMPATIBILITY & PERFORMANCE
Full FM 26.2 / 26.3 compatibility.
Cross-plugin performance audit. Lighting, cameras, crowds, seats, stadiums all got cleaned up in one pass. Average FPS up 50%, worst-moment FPS up 275%, big stutters basically eliminated.
Major FPS killer found and removed: a second camera was re-rendering every crowd instance every frame. Reducing FPS for nothing, this is obviously removed.
Crowd cleanup between matches. Old crowd objects were stacking up invisibly.
Six silent failures in stadium injection were swallowing errors without logging. If your stadium wasn’t loading and the log was empty, this is why. Errors now properly reported.
Newgen screens going black after custom lighting fixed. Ambient now properly restored on UI enter/exit.
Bundle load time logging so we can track which stadiums are slow.

How to Install the FM26 3D Stadiums Pack
The FM26 3D Stadiums pack can be downloaded either by adding a few files into the installation path based on your version of Football Manager 26.
Instructions on How to Install The FM26 3D Stadiums Pack for Windows
If you’ve previously used any previous versions of the FM26 3D Stadiums, you MUST delete any stadium pack files from earlier!
Step 1: Download the file “Football Manager 26 – 3D Stadium Megapack – v3.0.zip” from the link above. It might take some time to fully download the megapack as it’s 46GB large.
Step 2: Extract the content of the zip folder using WinRar or 7Zip into a separate location
Step 3.1: When you open the folder of the 3D stadiums megapack you’ll discover two main folders and four loose files:
- BepInEx/ (folder)
- dotnet/ (folder)
- .doorstop_version
- changelog.txt
- doorstop_config.ini
- version.dll
* if you are running this pack on a MacBook crossover, please rename the file to winhttp.dll
Step 3.2: Open the following location on your computer
- Steam:
Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26 - Epic Games: Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\FootballManager26
- Xbox: C:\XboxGames\Football Manager 26\Content
Step 4.1: Take a backup of the following folders and files and store them in another location. Once done, delete these files.
* If you do not do this step, you will run into issues! Crowds may not show up and so on! *
- BepInEx/
- dotnet/
- .doorstop_version
- changelog.txt
- doorstop_config.ini
- version.dll
* If you notice a winhttp.dll file in this directory – please delete it unless you are on MacBook, otherwise it’s a mandatory file! It won’t let you open the in-game editor on Epic, or will avoid you from playing Online games on all other platforms!
Step 4.2: Select all files and folders from Step 3 and paste the following files within the “Football Manager 26 – 3D Stadium Megapack – v3.0″ into the file location above so all these files and folders are replaced with the latest updates.
IMPORTANT: Do not copy the whole “Football Manager 26 – 3D Stadium Megapack – v2.0” folder. Only the files inside it e.g.
– GOOD: SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26\BepInEx
– BAD: SteamApps\common\Football Manager 26\Football Manager 26 – 3D Stadium Megapack – v2.0\BepInEx
Step 5.1: Before launching Football Manager, make sure to head to your Antivirus program and disable antivirus for the Football Manager 26 folder structure.
Step 6: Open Football Manager 26. Wait until the game is launched.
NB! It will take quite a bit of time to load the entire pack of custom-made stadiums on Football Manager 26, especially if you’re doing this for the first time. So, don’t get afraid or quit FM26 if a BepIndex window opens up, or close the extra window called BepIndex 6.0.0. It is necessary to install all necessary plugins.
The first boot may take up to 10 minutes before all files are fully loaded. It will always cycle twice! After waiting a few minutes, FM26 will load as normal, and you’re ready to continue your save game or create a new career.
For any other assistance in terms of downloading the 3D stadium megapack by Bassyboy, please read the updated download instructions here.

FAQ:
Will it be free?
Yes. 100%! If you see it somewhere and they’re charging for it, step away, (kindly) report it to me and I will take the required actions if needed. My mods will always be free in its core, with you having the option to send a donation if you wish to do so!
Will it work on FM24?
No. This mod is made for Unity based games. Plainly and simply, it will not work on FM24 due to the difference in game engine. However, you can use the mod on FM26 on a save game that has been imported from FM24, FM23 or FM22 but not use it on any other previous editions.
Do I need to start a new save?
Nope! Fully compatible with your saves as well as match history. So if you won the final of the UEFA Champions League in your home stadium, you can replay it with your ground. this is also the case for saves from FM23 and FM24.
Loading FM26 takes a very long time, what do I do?
The first boot after an update to FM26 or running the mod for the first time will take a long time. IT HAS NOT FROZEN, IT IS LOADING. DO NOT INTERRUPT IT!
I have encountered an error, what do I do?
Should you get an anti-tamper message do this:
- Remove the files from the directory when FM is closed.
- Boot the game, play a match, close FM.
- Reinstall the files whilst FM is closed.
- Then you will be able to play.
Does this FM26 mod work on Mac Os?
Unfortunately, the 3D stadiums megapack does not work nateively for Macbooks due to incompatability with the tool used to load the stadiums onto Football Manager. Currently BepInEx, the program you use to launch the stadiums onto Football Manager, does not work for Macbooks on Football Manager.
We have been looking into this for a long time, but has sadly not found any solution to make it run natively.
Will i be able to Install the 3D Stadiums on Linux?
You will need an alternative version of the BepInEx program to launch the 3D stadiums on Linux. Please watch to the end of the video embedded above.
