11 Cheap Wonderkids Bargains on FM26
Mbekezeli Mbokazi / 19 / Orlando Pirates
Recommendation for FM26.0 database. Sold to Chicago Fire in January Transfer Window. Available between €1-6M on FM26.2 update
Position(s): DC (DL, DR)
Best Player Role(s): Ball-Playing Centre-Back, Advanced Centre-Back

If you got South Africa as playable nations, there are a few cheap gems with huge potential on Football Manager 26! One of these bargains is Mbekezeli Mbokazi – a gem with significant potential!
A South African central defender who can be picked up for around €500K in the first season, sounds wonderful right?! However, it will be a fierce battle for his services. In my save, Lazio was quick to pick up the South African centre-back in the first transfer window.
The 19-year-old centre back has already debuted for the National team and can fill in the role as Inside Full-Back or Inside Wing-Back if required. However, he’s best used as a Ball-Playing Centre-Back or Advanced Centre-Back.
His vision, decision-making and passing is all great and combine that with positioning, strength, tackling and heading you got a defensive solid centre-back out of possession, whilst a playmaking wonderkid centre-back in possession.
Just look at his dribbling and long shots – wonderful abilities for any sides dominating the opposition in the final third as he can offer creative threats from deep.
For the bargain price of around €500K, Mbekezeli Mbokazi looks like a steal on Football Manager 26. Great potential, great price – what else do you want!
Appr. Transfer Cost: €60-600K (26.0 DB)
Transfer Value 26.2 update: €1-5.8M
Potential Rating: 84 / 100

Saba Kharebashvili / 16 / Dinamo Tblisi
Transfer Agreed to Basaksehir FK on 3rd September 2026 in the FM26.2 update
Position(s): DL
Best Player Role(s): Wing-Back, Playmaking Wing-Back

If you’re looking for a true budget wonderkid with long-term payoff, Saba Kharebashvili ticks almost all boxes. He isn’t going to immediately dominate in season one (especially if you’re in a top league) but with smart acquisition and good development plan, he can become a cornerstone for your defence for years — or be a profitable sale target.
Whether you wish to label Saba Kharebashvili as a hidden wonderkid or one of the best wonderkids on Football Manager 26, he comes at a highly valuable bargain price – available for less than €3mill in the first season of Football Manager 26.
The Georgian wonderkid is a highly versatile player. Capable to be used on either flank either as a wing-back on the left to take advantage of his attacking skills, such as crossing, quickness and passing, or as a Playmaking Wing-Back who can invert towards the centre of the pitch.
Standing out for his Stamina, Aggression, Determination and Natural Fitness – Saba Kharebashvili in FM26 got all the physical and mental skills you desire in an attacking wing-back. Although the left-back is only 16, he’s a must-buy in your FM26 save!
Try to pick him up in the first transfer window if your club budget allows. Early acquisition means you get more years of value.
For managers wanting bargain wonderkids, he’s a must-consider. I’d recommend putting him on your shortlist now, scouting him early in your save, and making the move if possible. For that bargain price, you can’t go wrong as there’s little to none risk spending under €3Mill for a wonderkid that has huge potential to become a corner stone for any possession-based sides.
In one of our 10 year simulation, the Playmaking Wing-Back performed with an average rating of above 7.0 in every season – showcasing his tactical intelligence and smartness both on and off the ball.
Appr. Transfer Cost: €550K-4.5M
Appr. Transfer Value 10 years into the future: €60-90M
Potential Rating: 92 / 100

Amara Diouf / 17 / Generation Foot
Transfer Agreed to Fenerbahce on 1st July 2026 in the FM26.2 update
Position(s): AML (AMC, AMR)
Best Player Role(s): Winger

There’s a huge buzz around this Senegalese wonderkid within the FM Community. How often can you get a creative and technical skilled Inside Winger for around €50K?! In fact, Amara Diouf was my first signing on Football Manager 26 and despite I have to wait a season – I have big expectations for his arrival!
Despite being only 17, the sensational African attacker has been on ‘everyone’s’ lips since 2023 when he captained the U17 Senegalese national team in the U17 AFCON and happened to score 8 goals – becoming the tournaments top scorer.
Since then, Amara Diouf has been rumoured with moves to Barcelona, Metz and most recently Fenerbahce, who is believed to sign a pre-contract with him that makes him move to Türkiye in the summer of 2026, according to Fabrizio Romano.
In Football Manager 26, that transfer is yet to be finalised and you can get him on an ‘Approach to Sign’ if you move fast in the first days of your career.
Standing out for his elite determination and outstanding flair, you’ll be able to get a versatile forward who thrives as a left winger who can cut inside but can also play on the right flank, or as an attacking midfielder.
His crossing, technique, vision, anticipation and agility is all above average and with the proper development plan you might turn the next Sadio Mane into a wonderful superstar. In one of our 10 year simulations, the player made between 10 and 18 goal points every season at Sporting CP and had an average rating of outstanding 7.70 or above!
Without a doubt, as long a future transfer is not incorporated in FM26, Amara Diouf must be the cheapest wonderkid bargain I’ve ever come across! Don’t hesitate, just sign those African wonderkids ASAP!
Appr. Transfer Cost: €20K-350K
Appr. Transfer Value 10 years into the future: €80-120M
Potential Rating: 82 / 100

Jona Benkotic / 16 / Dinamo Zagreb
Position(s): DM, MC
Best Player Role(s): Attacking Midfielder, Advanced Playmaker

Croatia has been a hot bed for creative midfielders as long as I can remember. Following in the footsteps of Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Ivan Rakitic, the youth academy of Dinamo Zagreb featured another Advanced Playmaker or creative Central Midfielder you should know of!
Let me introduce Jona Benkotic – a 16 year old midfielder who can both operate as a holding playmaker or as a Midfield Playmaker. Featuring some of the same abilities as Pedri, Jona Benkotic stands out for his great composure, flair and agility.
Adept at orchestrating the build-up by using his teamwork and wonderful technique, he’s one who can progress the ball into the final third and make those vital key passes and open play through balls. His ball control and abilities in one-on-one situations makes him an interesting ball carrier – enabling him to maintain the ball despite being put under intense pressure.
Here’s a talented playmaker who can create assists seasons after seasons. His overall abilities makes me think he could become a leading player for a promotion hunting Championship side, do well in the French Ligue 1 or the Serie A, within the first four to six seasons of FM26.
Although he comes at a bit higher cost, it’s just a testament to his significant potential. The matter is about giving him the development path to turn him into an elite wonderkid on Football Manager 26 – perhaps using loans or giving him first team football at an appropriate level sooner rather than later.
Appr. Transfer Cost: €4-7.5Mill
Appr. Transfer Value 10 years into the future: €20-50M
Potential Rating: 82 / 100

Emile Witbooi / 16 / Cape Town City
Position(s): AML, AMC
Best Player Role(s): Inside Winger, Advanced Playmaker

With my recent tweet after great display in the 2025 U17 FIFA World Cup, I’m sure ‘everyone’ knows about this amazing South African wonderkid. If you’re considering whether to sign Gabriel Mec, Lennart Karl or Emile Witbooi on Football Manager 26, you will save lots of money by picking up this unpredictable winger within the first two seasons on FM26.
Even better, you’ll be able to fit them all!
Operating on the left flank or in the centre of the final third, Emile Witbooi possesses remarkable dribbling, acceleration and flair. His ball control and close control is very good for his age group – probably among the best, at least when talking about African talents.
His off the ball movements, determination and wonderful abilities to evade his markers with tricks and feints makes him into a remarkable entertainer for FM26.
The highly unpredictable and creative winger likes to play one-twos to increase the tempo of the game and thrives when he can use his acceleration and sublime technique to carry the ball into dangerous positions.
With his contract expiring at the end of June 2026, you’ll be able to pick him up for a compensation fee in January. However, if you act fast, you may get the creative winger for less than €400K, before he agrees upon a contract extension.
In Football Manager 26, Emile Witbooi is one of those unreal hidden cheap gems! A player who can become an elite attacking midfielder with the right guidance. Here we’re talking about a player perfect for the Free Role as he possesses many of the same abilities as Lionel Messi – great acceleration, balance, agility, vision, dribbling, first touch, technique and flair! All you want in a creative forward who can both score goals and make those vital key passes and assists.
His huge potential and great technical abilities seems fit for possession-based teams but could easily fit sides in Belgium, Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. For under €500K, Emile Witbooi is a steal! Make a bargain on FM26 by signing this amazing wonderkid!
Appr. Transfer Cost: €55K-550K
Appr. Transfer Value 10 years into the future: €40-60M
Potential Rating: 80 / 100

Felipe Esquivel / 17 / River Plate
Position(s): AML
Best Player Role(s): Inside Forward

If you simply love creative wingers who likes to cut inside and provide both a creative and goal threat on Football Manager 26, you need to check out Felipe Esquivel.
One of the greatest talents within the renown River Plate Academy since Franco Mastantuono left for Real Madrid, the young Inside Winger born in May 2008 could quickly become the next big thing in Argentine football.
That’s a remarkable label considering we got both Alex Verón, Santiago Espíndola, Jerónimo Gómez Mattar and Tomãs Parmo, who we will talk about later on, coming through the different youth academies of Argentine football.
Renown for his technical abilities, ball control and remarkable dribbling skills, Felipe Esquivel became quickly a transfer target for Barcelona due to his similar abilities as those La Masia graduates.
Currently part of the U17 Argentine National team in the 2025 U17 FIFA World Cup, Felipe Esquivel stood out quickly with a powerful shot towards the first post in their first match of the tournament. One goal in one match. His first, after being promoted from the U16 squad.
In FM26, is one of these wonderkids bagged with lots of flair, agility and wonderful close control. Put him on the left flank and see him cut inside from the left flank and be that press-resistant player any side need in the final third.
In some aspects of his game, he looks like a cheap version of Lamine Yamal – a player who can find the target either by finishing with a sensitive strike, or make those neat crosses and quick one-twos which opens up the entire defensive block.
At the start he has a lot of development to do, especially in terms of his mental abilities (decision-making, composure, anticipation and concentration. Even his work rate, determination and strength could be higher to be rated as an elite wonderkid. However, he’s a player who can do the extra special – featuring incredible individual skills – something any sides need to score goals.
Appr. Transfer Cost: €200K-2M
Potential Rating: 76 / 100

Santiago Londoño / 17 / Everton
Position(s): ST
Best Player Role(s): Channel Forward

For anyone in search for cheap wonderkids bargains on FM26, Santiago Londoño is the true definition of the label. The 17-year-old Colombian striker is a young player with a growing reputation in South American football.
The 183cm tall Channel Forward has made a name for himself for goalscoring abilities. For the Colombian U17 international team he has scored 7 goals in 9 apps, and he has already debuted for the first team of Envigado – making a total of 24 appearances – scoring three goals.
In FM26, he’s a fairly quick forward who can both create chances for himself by carrying the ball into the penalty box, make darting runs in-behind the defensive line, or use his height to come to chances from aerial situations.
Combining great close control, dribbling abilities, finishing technique and off the ball movements, Santiago Londoño got everything you desire in a clinical striker.
Either ask him to play on the last line to stay on the shoulder of the last defender, waiting on the chance to come one-on-one with the goalkeeper, or instruct him to move into channels to be on the receiving end of through balls and progressive passes into space.
Although Santiago Londoño might be the perfect fit for sides in Portugal or Spain, his cheap price tag enables you to turn a huge profit in the future by picking him up sooner rather than later and loan him out to enhance development. Within three to four seasons, you’ll have a striker that you can set and forget for the next 10 seasons!
Appr. Transfer Cost: €350K-3.5M
Potential Rating: 78 / 100

Taufik Seidu / 17 / Atletico Madrid
Position(s): DM, CM
Best Player Role(s): Deep-Lying Playmaker, Midfield Playmaker

Any sides need a hard-working defensive midfielder who can balance the team’s tactical system with great positioning and the abilities to regain possession as quickly as possible.
In Taufik Seidu, you’ll get a versatile midfielder who can play both as a deep-lying playmaker who excels with his passing range – making accurate passes both over the short and longer distances, or as a box-to-box midfielder.
Born in Accra, Ghana, the Atletico Madrid midfielder is somewhere off making his first team debut, but is tied to the club until the summer of 2029 and has three matches for the Spanish Under-18 side – telling a picture how highly rated he is in Spain.
Although he has several areas to improve upon his game to turn into an elite wonderkid, he has an elegance when moving around the pitch – drawing some similarities to Patrick Vieira with great ball control, close control and vision to execute key passes and through balls.
Also notice his two-footedness – having a strong ‘weak’ foot – something that may aid his game as he can create chances within each half space zones or catch the opposition off guard by delivering accurate passes despite being pushed onto his weaker side!
In FM26, Taufik Seidu will be available for less than €2Million – a bargain price to get a player who can follow tactical instructions and work hard for and alongside his teammates. Include his ability to thrive in narrow spaces, or provide late deep runs that may unlock the opponent’s defensive block.
All in all, a great prospect for any sides playing with a double pivot or a 3-4-3 formation where you can combine Taufik Seidu’s on the ball skills with a typical ball-winner with lots of aggression and bravery.

Bop Guéye / 18 / Sarpsborg 08
Position(s): CM, AMC, LM
Best Player Role(s): Attacking Midfielder, Advanced Playmaker, Inside Winger

Do you want to get something extra of your 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 tactic by utilizing the attacking central midfielder, then you want to sign a player with off the ball movement, acceleration, decisions and finishing. One player who fit that description is found in Norway.
Bop Guéye was signed by Sarpsborg 08 this summer, coming from Oslo FC Academy. At the age of 18, the versatile midfielder is one of the hidden gems in Norwegian football – coming with significant potential to perhaps one day play in the English Premier League…
Offering third man runs and being able to provide support in the attacking third for the forwards, his above average Finishing, Long Shots, Flair and Acceleration can provide an extra layer to the team’s attack.
Capable to be used in both the AMC position or as a right midfielder in a more traditional 4-4-2 formation, his well-rounded profile could let you see Bop Guéye becoming a true hidden gem on FM26!
Personally, I believe he’s a player who might be best suited to play in Italy, Belgium or Netherlands but could also perform well in the English Championship if he continues to develop well. His Determination, Decisions and movements signals a midfielder who is smart off the ball, whilst his height, jumping reach and heading ensures he can become a brilliant box threat!
For the bargain price of €1Million, signing this Senegalese wonderkid in FM26 is attached with no risk!
Appr. Transfer Cost: €170K-1.7M
Potential Rating: 82 / 100

Alex Kouto Horio Pisano / 19 / Nagoya Grampus
Position(s): GK
Best Player Role(s): Goalkeeper
Japan has become one of my favorite places to scout for cheap wonderkids. Apart from Kanta Doi and Keita Kosugi, both some of the best cheap wodnerkids bargains on FM26, we have a promising goalkeeper who is available for less than €2Million! His name is Alex Kouto Horio Pisano, probably a well-known player for anyone who have hunted for wonderkids in FM26 since the game’s release.
The Japanese goalkeeper better known as Alexandre Pisano, made his debut for the Japanese national team against Hong Kong in the East Asian Football Championship in July 2025.
The 197cm tall shot-stopper made 16 appearances in the J1 League in the 2024/25 season – recording 5 clean sheets.
In FM26, Alex Pisano stands out for his Reflexes, Jumping Reach and Aerial Reach. With a good reach, he’s a towering goalkeeper who knows where to position himself to save shots. He’s also a great prospect for any sides playing with a high defensive line due to his One on ones abilities, reflexes and handling – painting a picture of a reliable goalkeeper which can improve any sides for the next 15 years!
When he shall restart play, his Kicking and Throwing enables him to make more direct distribution – bypassing the press by throwing the ball above the high press, for instance by aiming for the flanks or towards the Target Forward. Alex Pisano is also a great team player who can improve the squad’s dynamic. His high Leadership means he’s a great prospect as the squad’s Captain.
For less than €2Mill, Alex Pisano represents great value for the money.
Appr. Transfer Cost: €160K-1.6M
