As strong as he’s quick, as determined as he’s technical – the 21-year-old attacker could become the next revelation in European football. He also got huge potential to develop and could potentially become a great player in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Serie A or La Liga.
Capable of playing in several positions apart from Centre Forward, his Off the ball Movement, Flair and ball control makes him into both a creative player as well as a goal threat. At 186cm tall, great balance and first touch, he’s one who can link play before arriving in the penalty area and calmly put the ball into the net.
His style of play and overall set of skills makes him into a leading candidate for anyone hunting for a lone striker. At this price, he is a wonderful signing for anyone in the top 5 leagues.

Kota Tawaratsumida / 21 / FC Tokyo
If you’re looking for hidden gem bargains on Football Manager 26, activating the Japanese leagues will be a must. We have previously mentioned Kanta Doi in a tweet on X, but FC Tokyo also includes a Japanese wonderkid with terrific potential to become as good as Lennart Karl.
Kota Tawaratsumida is a promising winger with the abilities to become the next Son Hueng-min. Like the South Korean Inside Winger, Kota stands out for his Natural Fitness, Acceleration, Pace and Finishing.
With a fairly strong weak foot, he can play on either side, or be re-trained into a Channel Forward as he got great Finishing, Off the ball, Strength, Agility, Balance and Technique.
His passing, vision, and dribbling makes him also able to thrive as a creative outlet on the flank whether you wish him to cut inside from the left flank and get past his marker with trickery and feints, or work the byline to provide crosses from wide areas.

Rav van den Berg / 21 / 1.FC Köln
Looking for a young centre-back who can be signed and kept for the next 10 years? 21-year-old Dutch former wonderkid Rav van den Berg could be the ideal signing for anyone looking for a versatile defender.
Able to play either as Ball-Playing Centre-Back for a back four, Advanced Centre-Back in a back three system, or fill in as back-up option as a holding right fullback, Rav van den Berg’s overall defensive abilities will be desired.
190cm tall, great positioning, marking, tackling and strength, but also good in aerial situations he can limit opposition’s treath with both physic and tactical intelligence. He’s also great at building up play from the back with fairly good passing abilities, technique and vision. As composed on the ball as hard working – he will do whatever he can to deny chances as well as retain possession intelligently.
Consider him the cheap version of Virgil van Dijk – a reliable defender who is not afraid to make those last ditch tackles and block shots. He also got significant potential to develop into a defender of international standard. A great bargain if you manage to get him for less than €20Million as he could easily be worth triple as much.

While we’re first within 1.FC Köln’s squad we can also mention Eric Martel – a defensive midfielder with great determination, teamwork and work rate.
The German is physical strong player who has both the personality, the determination, team work and work rate to be that powerful defensive midfielder who can chase the opposing attackers down and use his intelligence and aggression to regain possession quickly and effieciently.
With a tactical intelligence of 17, great tackling and positioning, he can shield in front of the defenders, perhaps even be used as a half back – turning your back four system into a back five to protect against counter-attacks and channel play down the flanks.

Arouna Sanganté / 23 / Le Havre
Although there are hundreds of so-called Football Manager 26 bargains, finding that player with great abilities who can improve a club within the top 10 leagues is difficult. One of the cheaper options that I’ve come across is Arouna Sanganté.
The Senegalese centre back playing for Le Havre won’t demand as high wages, not be as pricey as some of the former players recommended.
Standing out for his leadership, physic and strength, the defender is as good at making tackles, blocking shots, making interceptions and regain possession as he’s at marking and winning aerial duels.
Capable to be used as a ball-playing defender or centre-back in a back four system he could be a great first team option for the next three to five years. One of his weaknesses is his technique but also his vision and weak left foot might make you consider whether to sign him for a possession-oriented system.
Transfer Value: €5-6Million
Erik Lira / 25 / Cruz Azul
Activating Mexico as playable nation could be a smart thing to do. If so, there are a few players on an expiring contract which you can get on an ‘Approach to sign’ deal at the start of your save.
Erik Lira is one of these versatile midfielder who could easily become a wonderful bargain signing. Able to be used as a Deep-Lying Playmaker, Midfield Playmaker or as an Advanced Centre-Back, the 25-year-old Mexican stands out for his vision, passing, flair, and anticipation – all useful skills for a creative expressive midfielder.
With 15 in positioning, composure, decisions and off the ball, Erik Lira is an highly tactical intelligent player who can both create chances by making those vital key passes, or protect in front of the defensive line with great abilities to read the game and thereby intercept moves.
To get Erik Lira you must act fast as there are multiple other clubs both within his home country and from foreign countries who are after his services.

Thiago Fernández / 21 / Vélez Sarsfield
There’s no better feeling than finding a cheap gem which you can develop and turn into one of the best players at your club. If you’re managing in a smaller league and is hunting for European glory one player you might want to consider is Argentinan Thiago Fernández.
The 21-year-old is far from a finished product but stands out for his ball control, off the ball, acceleration and agility – making him a wonderful candidate to play on the left side as an Inside Forward where he can cut inside onto his strongest foot.
His close control, flair, vision and anticipation makes him able to create chances from wide areas and use his very good dribbling skills to get past his marker. Like many other Argentinan attackers, he thrives in small spaces and can use his low centre of gravity to make feints.
Thiago Fernández’s contract is set to expire 31/12/2025 – meaning he’s available on approach to sign and could thereby be signed for ‘free’. In my save, he was already set to leave on a free – meaning you can monitor his status and jump in at the start of the January transfer window to improve your squad with an unpredictable and creative winger.

Bruno Zapelli / 23 / Athletico Paranaense
Do you use a 4-2-3-1 system and needs a creative outlet who can feed your striker with through balls and assists, then Bruno Zapelli could be a useful signing – especially if you’re managing at a mid-table clubs of Italy, France or Spain.
Featuring 16 in Flair, Passing, Technique and Dribbling, Bruno Zapelli combines wonderful close control and ball control with Vision and ball carrying abilities.
Thriving in small spaces where his agility and dribbling skills can come to its force, or take advantage of his playmaking abilities to unlock the defence with accurate key passes, the Brazilian with Italian passport is an ideal signing for European clubs. No reason to worry about foreign limits, or whether he’s too pricey!
The advanced playmaker can also play in multiple positions, but is better fit for right flank than left where he can be used as a wide playmaker who makes crosses or diagonal balls into the box.
Signing Bruno Zapelli in FM26 represents great value for your money, especially if you can get him for less than €7M but be aware, top clubs in Europe, such as Lyon is looking are interested in his services.

Lower League Bargains in FM26
Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh / 24 / Tractor
Are you in a need for a second striker or a false nine in the lower leagues? Then Iranian attacking midfielder Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh might be a wonderful bargain. A wonderful target for any sides outside the top 5 leagues, the versatile forward can thrive in minor leagues such as the Ligue 2, League One, Serie B, or become a clinical goalscorer for those minor leagues.
The Iranian got great acceleration and pace, agility and balance to play between the lines and can make those forward runs ahead of his striker partner to get on the end of a goalscoring opportunity. With his off the ball movements, flair, composure and close control, he’s a goal threat from deep but can also create chances with good passing abilities and the preference to play one-twos. Imagine him behind a more powerful striker where he can roam around and just bang in goals after goals as the ball arrives at his feet after wonderful combination play.
