Regardless of your tactical identity, everyone wants to create that tactic which can win trophies and score goals! At the FIFAe Football Manager World Cup in 2024, Indonesia won the competition with a strong and reliable 4-2-3-1 system aka the Taufiq Miracle 1 tactic!

Today we are happy to present the Taufiq Miracle 1 recreated for Football Manager 26 by our partner DarkHorseFM.

For anyone desiring a title-winning tactic for Football Manager 26 which is as defensive solid as attacking powerful, here’s the recreated FM26 Taufiq Miracle 1 Tactic made available to download by DHFM.

About the Taufiq Miracle 1 Tactic for FM26

For FM26, it’s the same exciting tactic we know and love, but this that we have set this brilliant attacking 4-2-3-1 tactic up with out of possession player roles that fit the system – enabling you to hunt for glory with a tested system that is both balanced in defensive phase as in attacking situations.

With a double pivot providing extra security at the back – taking the latest FM26 Match engine into account and letting the attacking midfielder thrive with his forward runs, the Taufiq Miracle 1 is a must-have tactic, if you should only download one Football Manager 26 tactic this year!

The FM26 Miracle 1 tactic is suited for most teams but it’s highly recommended for mid-table clubs and top-tier teams – those who got a squad with the best abilities to play with a high-pressing tactic. Although it might fit all the teams in the Premier League, it might be too expansive for those clubs in minor leagues fighting the relegation battle. If you should use this FM26 tactic in the lower leagues, good squad depth is an advantage.

The Player roles of Miracle 1 Tactic & What it Requires?

FM26 Taufiq Miracle 1 Tactic 4-2-3-1 formation

Sweeper Keeper (most GKs in the game are capable of this) but you would require a goalkeeper who can come off their line and be good in one-on-one situations. Quick to react and got great awareness to quickly push out of the penalty box if required to intercept loose balls.

Two Fullbacks (Wing-Backs at elite level are a BONUS). These players require both stamina, work rate and overall defensive skills e.g tackling and anticipation, concentration and positioning. However, they will also provide those crucial overlaps down both flanks and come to crossing opportunities.

Two Central defenders that are comfortable on the ball (in comparison to other defenders in that level or league where you play).

Two Defensive midfielders capable of tackling and supporting attacks. Players that can play Box-to-Box midfielder will do well in this role.

An Attacking Midfielder who can use his off the ball movement, quickness and creativity to both create chances and play in the front three, or provide a goalscoring opportunity from deep. The AMC will roam around the pitch so consider a player with good Work Rate and Flair on top of Agility, Dribbling and Finishing.

Two Inside Forwards, preferably you will need two attackers that can play on the wings. (AML/R/ST type players). Both players are asked to stay wider and should have a preferred foot opposite of the side he’s playing on. Strong Left foot for the IF on the right side.

A Quick Striker to play as the channel forward is a huge bonus.

NB! If you still notice your players shooting carelessly, try to discourage long shots, but remember that “discouraging long shots” is not a default team instruction for the Miracle 1 tactic.

Opposition Instructions

This is subject to personal preference. In Football Manager 26, I’ve found opposition instructions can sometimes be helpful, or sometimes affect the effectiveness of a tactic. For this tactic, I recommend you play without them, unless you absolutely know what you’re doing and you’re sure it won’t hurt your teams performance when you use them.

Good Luck!

Credits & Thanks!

Huge Credit to Ichsan Taufiq (Miracle) and Manar Hidayat for creating this amazing tactic.
