This Football Manager 2024 tactic defends in a 5-3-2 formation and transitions into a 2-2-6 shape in attack. The result is a tactic that is as solid at the back as it’s attacking proficient. With multiple counter-attacking initiatives with deep runs coming through all five channels, you’ll be able to overload and sufficate the opposition in their own half.
The Perfect Broken 3-5-2 looks to take advantage of the attacking directness of the Central Midfielders who looks to offer support to the two Advanced Forwards.
The tactic is build upon a narrow shape where only the attacking wingbacks will offer width. In the current match engine, you’ll be able to experience lots of wonderful goals coming from crosses from the attacking wingbacks towards the Advanced Forwards. If the strikers aren’t able to put the ball into the back of the net, the Central Midfielders-Attack can overload the center by moving into the penalty box.
On the topic of wingbacks, their importance to the success of this tactic is perfectly described by the number of assists from them. In one of the tests, Alvaro Odriozola made 25 assists from the right back position. Combined it was 39(!) assists on both wingbacks.
