My emulation of Xabi Alonso 3-4-2-1 tactic created for Football Manager 2024 focuses on playing through the middle of the pitch, closing down space for the opposition, and attacking with speed to catch the opponent out. With two wing backs staying wide, this creates space for them to be able to cross the ball unopposed, allowing your front three to attack superbly by quick one-two touches and accurate crosses from the wingbacks.
