Real Competition Names in FM24

Real names of all competitions from every playable league have been fixed, plus quite a few nations that are not activated by default, such as San Marino, Latvia and Qatar. This means that you will get the official name of the English Premier League, experience the sponsorship name of the Austrian Bundesliga instead of seeing it labeled as Premier Division or get the real name of international competitions.

Real Club Names in FM24

How to restore the fake names of AC Milan & Internazionale on Football Manager 2024?

Due to the delay of Football Manager 25, Sports Interactive and SEGA has been forced to renew the licencing agreement for some additional months. Normally, club and tournament licences last for a year, until the newest version of Football Manager is released.

With Football Manager 2024 remaining available across all platforms until FM25 release, there has been an update to FM24. Even though a vast majority of Sports Interactive’s FM24 licenses have been extended for this period, some individual club rights were unavailable for extension.

If you load a new save, you will discover both AC Milan and Internazionale has been given a fake name – Casciavit Milano and Blu-neri respectively, which will rename these Italian clubs when starting a new save.

You will also experience that their stadium, San Siro has been given a fake name too. At the same time, club logos and kits has been removed.

Here’s how to fix the fake names of AC Milan and Internazionale on Football Manager 2024:

1. Locate the folder; 
Windows: \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2024\data\database\db\2430\lnc\all

Mac: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2024/database/data/db/2430/lnc/all

2.1 delete the file: acc Inter unlic 24.lnc
2.2 delete the file: acmilan unlic 24.lnc

*do the same within the 2400 folder

How to restore the German, Dutch & Japanese National Teams on Football Manager | The German Licensing Fix for Football Manager

In Football Manager 204, the German, Dutch and Japanese National teams is greyed out and filled with fake players. To enable the German National Team with real players to be called up, you need to apply this fix.

Here’s how to unlock the German national team in Football Manager 2024 (or earlier versions). This fix will also apply to removing the fake national team of Japan and Holland.

1. Locate the folder; 
Windows: \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2024\data\database\db\2430\lnc\all

Mac: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2024/database/data/db/2430/lnc/all

2. delete the file: fake.lnc

By deleting the fake.lnc file you will not only enable the German national team. You will also enable player pics of the French and Dutch national teams by simply removing this file. This is something that can sort any errors you may have showing the player faces of the French and Dutch national team players, even though you may have downloaded the latest update to your preferred facepack.

If you like to keep this file, you can open the file in Notepad and turn player pics on by changing the number ‘1’ to a ‘0’.

How To Remove Brazilian Clubs’ Three Letter Abbreviation?

Get the real Brazilian club names, real kits and sort any licencing issues with Brazilian clubs in Football Manager 2024 by applying this quick fix – without the need to download a single file!

In Football Manager 2024 all Brazilian clubs are listed with a three letter abbreviation. Gremio would be listed as GRE, Cruzeiro as CEC or Athletico Paranaense as ATP. To remove the fake namaes of Brazilian clubs on Football Manager you will need to go through the process of deleting several files within several folders.

1.1. delete the files: brazil_kits.dbc and forbidden names.dbc

2.2. Delete the file Licensing2.dbc

NB! You MUST delete these files from all the different database folders, e.g 2300, 2340, 2400 and 2430, regardless of which db version you are going to play with.

How to Remove Fake Names of German & Dutch Managers & Chairmens?

It’s not only clubs and players that are removed and have fake names in Football Manager. Staff are also removed and given a fake name. One of these managers are Thomas Tuchel who are missing from FM24.

Restore Oliver Kahn, Borussia Dortmund manager Marco Rose or the German National team manager Hans-Dieter Flick in Football Manager 2024 by applying this fix. Our real names fix will ensure Thomas Tuchel is in the game, instead of Matthias Dahm.

[FM23] How To Remove Fake National Teams of China & South Korea?

It’s not only the German national team that is greyed out by default. Fake names appear on the national teams of South Korea and China for Football Manager 2023.

The Japanese N-League will feature fake names of clubs too. Here is how to enable the real names of the Japanese leagues and competitions, unlock the Japanese national team or the Chinese and South Korean, as well as enable the real kit colors of clubs from these nations.

This fix applies only to Football Manager 2023.
