Back then, it remarked a significant moment to the club’s history as all players on the pitch all were Spaniards and had come through the La Masia Academy in different stages.

By deciding to take on a Football Manager 2023 youth development challenge, it means you will only use the Youth resources within the club and rely on the club’s youth intake days to improve your squad. With new gen players from your own academy as your main source of recruitment, it might take years fielding a strong enough team to compete for the major titles but the reward is significant.

- no transfers allowed (hardest challenge level – optionally)
- nurture the talents coming through the Youth Intake (necessary)
- upgrade your training facilities at every opportunity (necessary)
- include one new Under-20 player to your first team each season (optionally)
