Football Manager 2019 is Coming… in November!
After weeks of cryptic tweets from the official Football Manager Twitter account and Studio Director Miles Jacobson tweeting ‘End of an Era’ alongside a screenshot of former Football Manager copies late last night, the speculations surrounded whether the beloved Football Manager series has come to an end! Luckily, we didn’t need to wait long before our questions about the meaning behind the tweet were. Earlier today, 06th of August 2018, the long anticipated Football Manager 2019 announcement were published.
Football Manager 2019 will hit the virtual ‘shelves’ Friday, November 2nd. This year, the traditional PC and MAC version of FM, will be released alongside Football Manager 2019 Touch (for PC, Mac, iOS and Android) and Football Manager 2019 Mobile (for iOS and Android).
With the announcement, the official Football Manager 2019 trailer were published revealing that Sports Interactive have quite shockingly decided to re-brand the Football Manager game series with a brand new logo!
After 14 editions and over 13 years (!), actually since the FM 2015 version, the traditional logo and the ‘Manager man’ gracing the front cover of Football Manager, we will need to get accustomed to a brand new and more modern logo. The retirement of the ‘Manager Man’ and the icon logo we’ve had with us through our childhood means the game shifts focus – looking to provide a more fresh look whilst closing the gap between YOU, as the manager, and the game by having a bird-eyes view of the players walking down the tunnel, as you were in the tunnel with your players!
Football Manager 2019 will be released Friday November 2nd 2018.
Football Manager 2019 is YOUR opportunity to take control of the club you love when the new season begins on November 2nd. New features and upgrades bring you closer to your squad than ever before and tilts the world’s favorite management simulation even closer to reality. Welcome to the job!
What to Expect From Football Manager 2019?

Following you’ll find confirmed news about changes coming to FM 2019:
FM19 Featuring DFL Bundesliga Licence For The First Time!
Football Manager 2019 will be the 15th edition of the beloved and iconic video game, and for all this time Sports Interactive has lacked
the licence to one of the biggest leagues in Europe – the DFL Bundesliga. For long, we’ve needed to download unofficial assets to unlock the German national team, get player photos from the top leagues in Germany as well as following instructions to get the real names of German clubs and specific players appearing. Poor German Football Manager fans has not even been able to buy the game!
Miles Jacobson and Bundesliga International officially announced on the 18th of July last year that an agreement about the Bundesliga license has been agreed for four seasons starting from the 2018-2019 season.
This means that from Football Manager 2019 until Football Manager 2022 the Bundesliga will feature in the game with official license. Not only will Football Manager 2019 be the first version the Football Manager franchise will be open for the German market, but it will also mean that Sports Interactive has earned the rights to use the real name of the German Bundesliga. Real logos, club names and player faces from Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga will for once appear in Football Manager!
With the Bundesliga licence agreed, there will be a total of 26 fully-licensed league competitions from 11 countries as well as a host of individual club licences from some of the world’s biggest leagues, with more still to be confirmed!
Licensing updates along with new features and game upgrades will drop towards the end of September on the social channels of Football Manager.
