Delve into the Football Manager 2015 Let’s Play video story about Glasgow Rangers and follow my hunt to reach the Champions League final with the old Scottish protege Rangers F.C.
Why did I pick Glasgow Rangers?
As you are probably well aware of, Rangers are in a precarious position off the field due to terrible mismanagement by their board and owners. In Football Manager 2015 this isn’t the case, the club has a small debt which is easily paid off and the board then begins to back you. The funds aren’t great but it’s enough to get the club close to challenging back at the top of Scottish football.
They also posses fantastic facilities in a 5 star stadium in Ibrox which has a capacity of just over 50,000 and in Auchenhowie, the club has a fantastic training base, with very good facilities for the senior and youth team.
What do I hope to achieve at Glasgow Rangers?
First off I hope to take Rangers to domestic dominance, but more long term I hope to establish the club back in the Champions League and eventually win it.
I want to make the club the hub of all the good young prospects in Europe, giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents before selling them on for huge profit, or even just loaning some in and giving them a platform to develop.
What I bring to Glasgow Rangers?
I bring a very attack minded and high pressure system and philosophy to Rangers F.C. I encourage my team to play on the deck and to always attack the opposition by playing with a high tempo. My system see’s me mostly focus with the ball in the middle of the park, however I encourage my wingbacks to bomb forward at all times and tell my plays to look from the overlapping.
I do give the players maximum freedom to express themselves and always expect my number 10 to be star of the show with the freedom we give him to creative chances.
